At the first sitting of the National Assembly for 2018 on January 23, the Leader of the Opposition in St. Kitts and Nevis, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, drew the ire of the Speaker, Honourable Michael Perkins, for reprehensible behaviour and was asked to withdraw, followed by his naming by a Member of Parliament and subsequent suspension from the House for five days.

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris today, Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, introduced and moved the first and second readings of the Appropriation (2018) Bill, 2017, which will be the subject of debate in the National Assembly of St. Kitts and Nevis.
